What is delivered in Delhi NCR
NGH India is the official NGH India Chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotists, USA, based in Delhi. It prepares candidates for the Certified Consulting Hypnotist (CCH) credential, and Delhi NCR is one of the two locations where the in-person format is held.
Online CCH: 100 hours over 3 months — live sessions, supervised practice, and the NGH examination included. In-person intensives (Delhi NCR, Dubai) are scheduled with each cohort and confirmed at interview. Residential (McLeodganj) is scheduled separately.
Admission is by interview — there is no public checkout. Enrolment is rolling: accepted applicants start on the next 1st or 15th. Fee details are discussed at interview. Fellowship Awards — merit- and need-based — are assessed in the same conversation.
Who teaches it
Training is led by Dr. Maruti Sharma, Founding President of the Chapter — an RCI-registered Clinical Psychologist (Assoc.), Reg. A100310, an NGH Certified Instructor, practising hypnosis since 2000. An RCI-registered Clinical Psychologist (Assoc.) certifying consulting hypnotists under the NGH framework is a combination without parallel in India.
Why that matters here is practical rather than promotional. The judgement the programme assesses most heavily — recognising a presentation that belongs with a licensed clinician and referring it — is taught by someone who holds that licence and makes that call in their own practice.
Scope, stated plainly
The CCH is a professional certification of the National Guild of Hypnotists. It is not a government licence. It does not confer authority to practise medicine, psychology or any regulated health profession, and it does not substitute for registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India under the RCI Act, 1992.
A CCH holder may work with goals — habit change, performance, general stress. Anything that amounts to diagnosing or treating a disorder belongs with a professional licensed to do so. That boundary is taught as part of the curriculum rather than left for graduates to discover.
After certification
On certification you join the NGH India Chapter. The Monthly Chapter Meet is held online on the first Sunday of every month — cases, peer practice, and one skill. The Annual Chapter Meet is on 20 November; in 2026 it is at McLeodganj. Entry to both is for Fellows holding the CCH, or holding a current training seat.
Fellows in the NCR practise in Noida and Gurugram, alongside colleagues in Pune, Patiala, Shimla and Raipur, and internationally in Dubai, Sharjah, Washington DC, Maryland and Ontario. Those are the cities Fellows practise in; the monthly meet itself is online.
