What is delivered in the Gulf
NGH India is the official NGH India Chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotists, USA. Gulf clinical and executive operations are anchored by The Emergentis Group, UAE, and Dubai is one of the two locations where the in-person format is held.
Online CCH: 100 hours over 3 months — live sessions, supervised practice, and the NGH examination included. In-person intensives (Delhi NCR, Dubai) are scheduled with each cohort and confirmed at interview. Residential (McLeodganj) is scheduled separately.
Admission is by interview — there is no public checkout. Enrolment is rolling: accepted applicants start on the next 1st or 15th. Fee details are discussed at interview. Fellowship Awards — merit- and need-based — are assessed in the same conversation.
Who teaches it
Training is led by Dr. Maruti Sharma, Founding President of the Chapter — an RCI-registered Clinical Psychologist (Assoc.), Reg. A100310, an NGH Certified Instructor, practising hypnosis since 2000, with clients in 100+ countries.
For Gulf candidates the relevant point is that the credential is issued by a body that exists independently of the school teaching it. The NGH maintains its own register, so a practitioner's standing can be verified by a client or an employer rather than taken on the trainer's word — which matters more in a market where the title is unregulated.
Scope, and the jurisdiction question
The CCH is a professional certification of the National Guild of Hypnotists. It is not a government licence anywhere, and it does not confer authority to practise medicine, psychology or any regulated health profession.
Health-practitioner licensing in the UAE is administered by the relevant federal and emirate-level health authorities, and requirements differ between emirates. A candidate intending to practise clinically in the Emirates should confirm current requirements with the authority for their emirate before enrolling anywhere — the certification does not answer that question, and no training provider can answer it on the authority's behalf. What the programme provides is the credential and the clinical discipline behind it; the licensing position is the candidate's to verify.
After certification
On certification you join the NGH India Chapter. The Monthly Chapter Meet is held online on the first Sunday of every month — cases, peer practice, and one skill — which is how Gulf-based Fellows stay in continuous supervision without travel. The Annual Chapter Meet is on 20 November; in 2026 it is at McLeodganj. Entry to both is for Fellows holding the CCH, or holding a current training seat.
Fellows practise in Dubai and Sharjah, alongside colleagues in Noida, Gurugram, Pune, Patiala, Shimla and Raipur, and in Washington DC, Maryland and Ontario. Those are the cities Fellows practise in; the monthly meet itself is online.
Applying from the Emirates
The first step is a personal conversation with Dr. Sharma. Most Gulf candidates take the online format and attend the Dubai intensive when it is scheduled. Apply for an interview, or read the clinical hypnotherapy in India and the GCC page for the regional clinical picture.
Questions people ask
Is NGH certification available in Dubai?
Yes. The online programme runs 100 hours over 3 months and is taken by most Gulf candidates, and Dubai is one of the two in-person locations alongside Delhi NCR. In-person intensives are scheduled with each cohort and confirmed at interview. Gulf operations are anchored by The Emergentis Group, UAE.
Does the CCH allow me to practise clinically in the UAE?
The CCH is a professional certification, not a government licence anywhere. Health-practitioner licensing in the UAE is administered by federal and emirate-level health authorities and requirements differ between emirates. Confirm current requirements with the authority for your emirate before enrolling anywhere.
How do I enrol from the Gulf?
Admission is by interview — there is no public checkout. Enrolment is rolling, and accepted applicants start on the next 1st or 15th. Fee details are discussed at interview, and Fellowship Awards, which are merit- and need-based, are assessed in the same conversation.
Can I stay in supervision from Dubai or Sharjah?
Yes. The Monthly Chapter Meet is held online on the first Sunday of every month, so Gulf-based Fellows remain in continuous peer practice and case supervision without travel. The Annual Chapter Meet is in person on 20 November.
